Biography

Dan Marshall Composer/Musician/Sound Designer Dan Marshall writes and performs music for television series, film, records, multimedia applications, and DVD projects, as well as corporate/industrial communication tools.

Notable among his recent credits is Great Museums, a High Definition television series produced by Echo Pictures, distributed by American Public Television and airing on PBS stations across the country. Great Museums is currently in its third season of production. In addition to composing the series' score, Dan provided sound design and did the final mix.

Dan also composed music for additional features on Universal Pictures recent Schindler's List DVD release.

Dan's other compositions for Echo Pictures includes scoring two one-hour HGTV specials (The Rose Story and The Orchid Mystique), the theme and incidental music for the "In America" series on the International Channel, and the music for the 96-episode series Profiles on Knowledge TV.

Other credits include music for productions by The Coca-Cola Company, GEMA, FDLE, the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Men's Fashion Institute, interactive productions for Intellimedia and ESPN and numerous projects on the Sunshine Network.

Additionally, Dan owns LevelHeads, a recording studio in Atlanta.

Some of his work at LevelHeads as a producer, session player and engineer can be heard on chart-topping releases by Universal Records with notable multi-platinum artists such as Nelly, Snoop Dogg, R&B Legend Ronald Isley (of Isley Brothers fame), and Grammy Award winner Killer Mike on Outkast's Aquemini records.
